Before joining The McLean Group, Mr. Zollinger owned a Miami, FL-based international custom metal manufacturing company that served the cruise ship, mega-yacht and construction industries. After selling that company to a multinational maritime services company, he acquired three M&A advisory offices in Florida which he later sold to foreign investors. Mr. Zollinger has sold or supervised the sale of about 75 businesses. He is focused on manufacturing, maritime and healthcare industries (especially dermatology and eye surgery practices).
Additionally, Mr. Zollinger has extensive direct experience in: the operation and maintenance of nuclear power and ancillary systems; military-industrial complex contracting and national intelligence programs; international shipyard operations; design, fabrication, installation and renovations of shipboard catering systems; food service equipment manufacturer representation; National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) fabrication standards; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP); and job shop manufacturing.
Mr. Zollinger, a retired nuclear-trained US Navy submarine officer, holds a BSEE (with honors) from NC State University and an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth. He is a former advisory board member of the Raymond Miles Foundation for Business Appraisal Research at the Institute of Business Appraisers. He is a board member of two nonprofits that serve the HUD Section 8 housing and hospice industries.
