for $56.31 per share, transaction
valued at approximately $6 billion.
URS provides engineering,
construction, and technical
services for public agencies and
private sector companies globally.
The combined company will have
nearly 100,000 employees in 150
countries with 2013 pro forma
revenue of $19.0 billion and
EBITDA of $1.3 billion. Transaction

Associates (MDA) acquired
Advanced Systems, a line of
business from General Dynamics
Advanced Information Systems.
The business line specializes in
radar and other information sensors
used for national security purposes.
This acquisition will strengthen
MDA’s ability to pursue future
surveillance and intelligence
programs in the US.
BAE Systems acquired Signal
Innovations Group, Inc. (SIG), a
provider of imaging technologies
and analytics to the US intelligence
and defense communities. Adding
SIG’s technologies with their
existing intelligence tools and
analysis capabilities will enhance
BAE capability offerings for
analyzing tactical and strategic
intelligence from around the globe.
