Preferred Systems Solutions
(PSS), a portfolio company of CM
Equity Partners acquired Global
Services & Solutions (GSS). Based
in Virginia, GSS provides
acquisition and program support,
engineering and technical
expertise, and consulting services
for major weapons systems
acquisition programs. The GSS
acquisition strengthens PSS’
position at DoD. GSS President,
Jim Ballard, will transition to
President of PSS Federal Services
Group.
Novetta Solutions, an Arlington
Capital Portfolio company, acquired
SigInt Technologies, a leader in
digital signal processing and
intelligence analysis solutions for
the Intelligence Community. The
acquisition of SigInt adds an
important new technical capability
to the company as Novetta
continues its growth toward
becoming a dominant provider of
advanced analytics for the
Intelligence Community. The
McLean Group advised SigInt in its
sale.
IBM acquired Lighthouse Security
Group, a Rhode Island based
security services provider.
Lighthouse protects identity and
data in the cloud and mobile
environment. Lighthouse offloads
IAM deployment and management
with a less expensive and faster-
time-to-value cloud service. With
this acquisition IBM extends its
security leadership in delivering
innovation, services, and software
that help businesses protect their
data.
