AAR Mobility Systems business
acquired the assets of Cool
Containers (CC), a manufacturer of
temperature-controlled containers
used to transport climate-sensitive
pharmaceuticals and biological
cargo. CC designs and
manufactures the PharmaPort 360,
a FAA approved container that
uses regenerative heat exchangers
to maintain stringent temperature
control for high-value cargo. AAR
gains expertise in the pharma
market and bolsters existing
military and medical offerings.

Valence Surface Technologies
acquired Pride Plating, Dynamic
Paint Solutions and Coastline
Metal Finishing. The acquisitions
add key locations, approvals and
offerings to better support
Valence’s aerospace customers
and creates the largest,
independent metal processing
platform dedicated to streamlining
the aerospace supply chain.
AMETEK acquired Amptek, a
manufacturer of instrumentation
and detectors used in non-
destructive materials analysis
applications with annual sales of
$30 million. Amptek specializes in
X-ray detectors used in portable
and laboratory instrumentation
utilizing X-ray fluorescence,
electronics for nuclear and
spaceflight instruments,
and gamma-ray detectors for
Homeland Security and nuclear
emissions monitoring.
